Winery & Brewery Tours Kansas City

Call 913-441-2674

A winery or brewery day is a driving problem before it is anything else: the best stops are spread across two states, and somebody has to get the group between them and home again. We have been running these tours for years. The typical group is about sixteen people on a five-hour private charter, and the vehicles that do most of this work are the limo coaches and the 31-passenger party bus, with the Chrysler 300 stretch for smaller parties.

Kansas-side wineries

Aubrey Vineyards in Overland Park is the closest to the southern suburbs and appears regularly in our tour records. Bourgmont Winery, out past Bucyrus on Quivira Road, is the classic countryside stop, and groups starting from rental houses in Louisburg often pair the two. From our garage in Bonner Springs the whole Johnson County loop is an easy afternoon.

Missouri wine country

Weston is the day trip most people ask about — a small historic town north of the airport with wineries in and around it — and Riverwood Winery near Rushville sits a little further up the river. Groups from Kansas City, Blue Springs and Overland Park make a full day of it, and we have run tours as far as St. Joseph. Out-of-town days are quoted by the hour like everything else, with drive time from Bonner Springs included in the plan.

Kansas City brewery and distillery routes

Inside the city the route is shorter and the stops are closer together. Boulevard Brewing on Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City Bier Company in Waldo, Amigoni Urban Winery in the West Bottoms, J. Rieger & Co. in the East Bottoms and Tom’s Town on Main Street all recur in our bookings, and Johnson County groups often start at Limitless Brewery in Lenexa or Brewtop in Overland Park before heading into the city. Four stops in five hours is a comfortable pace for an in-town route.

Which vehicle for a tour

How a tour day runs

You pick the stops; we plan the order and the timing and do all of the driving in between. Pickup is from one address — often a hotel such as the Element in Leawood, the Hyatt Place or SpringHill Suites at Lenexa City Center, or Hotel Kansas City downtown — and the day ends where it started. Five hours covers a Johnson County or in-town route comfortably; allow seven or more for Weston or St. Joseph. Book a little longer than you think you need: extending on the day is possible when the schedule allows, but a vehicle booked back-to-back cannot stay.

Every vehicle is owned, maintained and driven by us — never brokered out — and we have been on Kansas City roads since 1990. Call or text 913-441-2674, or get an instant estimate from the quote engine and we will confirm the date while you are on the phone.

Questions we get asked

How many stops fit in a five-hour tour?

Three or four for an in-town route where the stops are close together; two or three for a Johnson County or Missouri countryside loop where the driving is longer. Tell us the stops you want and we will say honestly what fits.

Do you go out to Weston or St. Joseph?

Yes. Weston, Riverwood Winery near Rushville and St. Joseph all appear in our recent tour bookings. Out-of-town days are quoted by the hour with drive time from our garage in Bonner Springs included, so allow seven hours or more for a Missouri day.

What size group do you usually take on a tour?

Around sixteen is typical, and most groups fall between ten and twenty-five - which is why the limo coaches and the Party Bus do most of this work. Smaller parties take a Sprinter limo or a Chrysler 300 stretch.

Where do you pick up?

One address of your choosing. Hotels are common - the Element in Leawood, the Hyatt Place and SpringHill Suites at Lenexa City Center, Hotel Kansas City downtown - or a home or rental house, and the day ends where it began.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Yes, and it depends on the vehicle. Sedans and SUVs start at two hours, the Sprinter limos and the trolley at three, and the stretch limousines, party buses and coaches at four. The quote tool applies the right minimum for you automatically.

What deposit do you take?

A non-refundable prepayment of at least 50% reserves the vehicle, and the balance is due on or before the day of service. The full reservation terms are on our policies page.
